Chef and owner Pasquale Poccia makes the decision to retire after nearly 30 years at Pasquale's Osteria.

Nearly 30 years ago, Chef Pasquale Poccia created Pasquale’s Osteria—a gathering place where friends and family could connect over good food and drink.
Over the years, many have come to know Pasquale’s as “that special place”: a place where you always leave feeling full; where the menu is filled with the flavors Pasquale grew up with in his hometown of Santa Maria Infante; where the staff become friends; and where Pasquale himself holds a special place in the hearts, and stomachs, of everyone who walks through the door.
After more than 50 years of creating wonderful food in restaurants from Italy to Germany, France, Australia, and finally right here in Norwalk, Pasquale has decided that it is time to retire.
His life as a chef has always been about connecting people through great food. Now, he is looking forward to spending more time with his own family, who are spread between Italy and the United States.
Pasquale’s Osteria will close its doors for the final time on September 29, 2026.
Pasquale thanks all his patrons and friends for the many years of support, love, laughter, and friendship. He will miss you all—and he hopes you will carry many wonderful memories of Pasquale’s Osteria with you.
